We know that Easter was over two days ago, but we just can’t get over all those all-day breakfasts we had over the weekend. If, like us, you’re still craving a wholesome, eggy meal, here are 8 restaurants serving delicious egg dishes that will push the boundaries of egg preparation. Let’s get cracking!
1. Hatched
If you think that scrambled eggs, omelettes, and sunny-side-ups are all you can do with eggs, then you have to visit Hatched. As the name suggests, the restaurant is in love with all things egg. Baked, boiled, fried, poached, or scrambled, they’ve got them all and more.
Watch the team at Hatched pair this simple ingredient with a multitude of veggies, sauces and other sides – you’ll be amazed at how versatile it is! Their extensive all-day breakfast menu features everything from classics like Eggs Benedict to Asian-inspired twists like salted egg dressing so you can have breakfast all day, your way.
Our personal favourite is the Papillote. It’s got smoked salmon, crispy slices of toast, potatoes and, of course, runny scrambled eggs. What’s not to love?
Find it at 267 Holland Avenue, Holland Village, Singapore 278989.

2. Gudetama
The world’s favourite lazy egg is coming to grace the plates and fill the bellies of Singaporeans! Many of the restaurant’s dishes feature the unmistakably lethargic face of the beloved Gudetama, who slouches on pieces of waffle, inside your soup, and can even be found “nua”-ing on top of breakfast sausages.
By the end of the meal, your stomach will be pleasantly filled with hearty dishes like steaks, burgers, and breakfast platters, while your phone’s photo gallery will turn into a Gudetama shrine.
Make sure to order the Eggcited Cajun Chicken with Waffles. We’re talking smoky cajun chicken thigh on top of a fluffy waffle, topped with an adorable Gudetama sunny-side-up and served with maple syrup and fresh cream. Essentially, main course and dessert all on one plate – eggciting!
Find it at 3 Temasek Boulevard, 01-361 Suntec City Mall, Singapore 038983.

3. OMU

OMU is a little restaurant at Suntec City serving up lava omurice. Wait, what’s lava omurice? To put it simply, it’s omurice heaven. Think a beautiful, fluffy omelette sitting on a bed of rice, and here’s the best part: when the omelette is sliced open, it blankets the rice to reveal a delicious, gooey pile that looks just like perfectly-cooked scrambled eggs. The creamy, melt-in-your-mouth eggs go perfectly with the warm rice, creating a meal that’s like a big, warm hug for your insides. Make sure you don’t have any other plans for the afternoon, because you’ll go straight into a blissful food coma.
We definitely recommend getting the Omu Rice with Demi-Glace Sauce. The tart, rich sauce goes perfectly with the silky-smooth lava egg, creating a little piece of heaven for your palate.
Find it at 3 Temasek Boulevard, #01-301A/301B (PN), Suntec City Mall, Singapore 038983.

4. Pecori Japanese Egg Restaurant

The best thing to do after a long day of walking is to sit down somewhere and dig into a steaming plate of comfort food. Pecori Japanese Restaurant gives you exactly that. Located in Liang Court at the heart of town, it’s the perfect place to rest your tired feet and fill your growling stomach with some delicious omurice.
You can customise everything from the sauce to the toppings, so you’ll get exactly what you’re looking for. With generous portions of soft, slightly runny eggs hugging fluffy fried rice, and free-flow salad and soup during dinner, we guarantee you’ll go in hungry and leave very, very satisfied.
If you don’t know where to start, go for the Omurice with Mentaiko Sauce. The sauce is creamy and smooth but still full of umami, and is topped with a generous serving of nori too!
Find it at 177 River Valley Road, #B1-31 Liang Court, Singapore 179030.

The following restaurants aren’t utterly devoted to eggs but that doesn’t mean they can’t make a mean omelette! Read on to find out about egg dishes so good, they’d make any mother hen proud.
5. Restaurant Labyrinth’s Soft Boiled Eggs
This amazing modern gastronomy restaurant will surprise you at every turn. On the surface, they seem to serve typical Singaporean kopitiam foods – teh tarik, kaya toast, porridge… all the familiar foods we grew up with. However, once you pick up your fork and dig in, you’ll realise that the dishes aren’t what you expected at all. The porridge is, in fact, a soya bean pudding, while the kaya toast is a meringue in disguise. One of their signature dishes is the Soft Boiled Eggs, which looks just like Singapore’s favourite breakfast, but is actually mango sticky rice made to look like a just-opened egg.
Find it at 8 Raffles Avenue, Esplanade Mall #02-23, Singapore 039802.

6. Antoinette’s Salted Lava Yolk Croissants

Cr: sgfoodonfoot.com
Although it’s named after the infamous French queen Marie Antoinette, we won’t be eating cake at Antoinette. Today, we’re going for their Salted Yolk Lava Croissants, which are the best in Singapore. Every bite of the light pastry is a mouthful of sweet-and-savoury heaven. The croissant is made traditionally, by layering dough and butter innumerable times, resulting in a crisp, flaky pastry. It’s filled with the star of the show: egg yolk custard, which is smooth and creamy, made using real salted egg yolk. The filling is more savoury than sweet as well, retaining that addictive authentic salted egg yolk taste we’ve all come to love.

7. Springleaf Prata Place’s Plaster Blaster

Cr: ladyironchef.com
No, we’re not going to talk about their egg prata – the egg-citing surprise Springleaf Prata has in store is much better. It’s their very own invention, made especially for the Ultimate Hawker Fest 2017: the Plaster Blaster! The dish is a combination of prata and brunch: plain prata topped with slices of ham and a poached egg, finished with a drizzle of homemade masala hollandaise.
If you think there’s no way a humble prata shop can do poached eggs and hollandaise, think again. The eggs yolks are silky and runny while the hollandaise is creamy and smooth. Warning: once you taste this, just prata and/or brunch will never be enough again.
Springleaf Garden, 1 Thong Soon Avenue, Singapore 787431.

8. Ronin Cafe’s Scrambled Eggs

Cr: ms-skinnyfat.com
This hole-in-the-wall establishment has gained fame for making the simplest of dishes inexplicably delicious. They’re known having the best Eggs & Toast dish in Singapore, and it’s not hard to see why.
Simplicity is the name of the game here, as the humble egg takes centre stage in this dish and blows us all away. The eggs are silky and creamy, and slightly runny as well – the perfect consistency for everyone’s favourite comfort food. They’re also bursting with flavour, seasoned just right to bring out the fragrance and subtle sweetness in the egg. When you’re done, you’ll be torn between asking for seconds and lounging around in a satisfied daze.
Find it at 17 Hongkong Street, Singapore 059660.
