If you’re feeling adventurous, you can can #yolo it out with the Death Wings. 4. LongQing – Ma La

Szechuan cuisine is known to be one of the spiciest cuisines in the orient. Famed for their liberal use of chilli and pepper, this cuisine is home to the Ma La hotpot. Made with numbing Szechuan pepper and lots of chilli, a whiff of this dish will have you reaching for the tissues. One of the spiciest Ma La hotpots in Singapore is located at LongQing, where MSG isn’t used to mask the spiciness of the soup base. The premium meat offerings such as Angus Beef and Pork Shoulder offer some respite from the heat, but if it’s a spicy soup you’re after, you might have just found it.

Dig deeper and you’ll be ambushed by a strings of sliced chilli and spicy sauce. The tavern has a “Spaghetti From Hell Challenge” which gets eaters to chow down the dish in less than 10 minutes without the aid of water or any other beverages. Think you’re brave enough? 6. Lower East Side Tacqueria – Level 5 Tacos

If you’re a fan of Mexican food, you’ll love Lower East Side Tacqueria’s menu. Spice lovers will enjoy their Spicy Taco challenge even more. Finish a taco of your choice with their searing Level 5 Hot Sauce drizzled on top, and it’s on the house. The staff say anything above Level 3 is dangerous, and unsurprisingly, the innocent-looking sauce packs a serious punch, comprising a mix of peppers and chilli. Every weekend, brave souls attempt this challenge, fuelled my tequila and horchata, but few succeed. Are you game enough to taco on the challenge?

This American diner touts itself as the “Home of the Level 35 Buffalo Wings.” Tangy with a hint of sourness, the wings start at regular spice levels and go up to level 35 for spice lovers. Finish a plate of their wings and your meal is on the house – you can recruit up to two people to join in your suffering. Be warned, however, these wings have gained notoriety for being the “spiciest wings in Singapore” and are a force to be reckoned with. If scorching heat and “spice tears” are your thing, then this challenge is definitely for you.
